What are the ingredients I need to make Gajar Ka Halwa?  

  • Carrot                                      ½ kg, finely grated
  • Ghee                                        ½ cup
  • Milk                                         1 cup
  • Khoa                                       50 gm
  • Sugar                                       1 cup
  • Cardamom Powder                 ½ tsp
  • Almonds                                 5 – 7, chopped
  • Cashew                                   5 – 7, chopped
  • Raisins                                     1 tbsp

What is the method to prepare Gajar Ka Halwa?

  • Pour ghee in a pressure cooker, heat it
  • Add grated carrot and sauté for 5 minutes on medium flame. Keep stirring now and then
  • Add Milk and mix well. Close lid and cook for 1 whistle
  • Let steam escape. Open the lid
  • Pour cooked carrot into a non sticky vessel
  • Add sugar and cook for 5 – 10 minutes
  • Now, add khoa. Mix well and cook for 1 or 2 minutes
  • Add raisins, chopped almonds, cashew & cardamom powder and cook for more 1 minute. Turn off stove
  • Serve hot or warm!!!!
