What are the ingredients I need to make Besan Pakoda?

·         Besan (Gram Flour)                         250 gm
·         Salt to taste
·         Coriander powder                           2 tsp
·         Red chili powder                              1 tsp

·         Turmeric  powder                            a pinch
·         Onion                                                    1 large, chopped
·         Ginger garlic paste                           1 tbsp
·         Oil for deep frying
·         Baking soda                                        a pinch

What is the method to prepare Pakoda?

·         Mix gram flour, salt, red chili powder, turmeric, ginger garlic paste, chopped onion, coriander powder, and baking soda
·         Add ½ cup water, mix well to make soft batter. Keep aside for 20 minutes
·         Pour oil in heavy bottomed frying pan, and heat it
·         When it is hot enough, using small table spoon, pour pakoda batter in to the oil
·         To check if the oil is hot enough to fry the pakodas, drop a little batter into the oil, if the batter rises to the surface immediately, the oil is ready for frying the pakodas.
·         Fry them till they turn to golden brown
·         Serve hot with chopped onion and tea
